Welcome to Christine Langford Golf – Winter 2010

Christine Langford Golf was founded in 1992 at Bowood Golf & Country Club in Wiltshire, still the UK base of CLG. Since that time Chris has used her immense experience as a player and coach to host events in Mauritius, America, Ireland, Scotland, France, Denmark and Spain, where she now has a permanent base at Desert Springs Golf Resort just north of Almeria.

Chris started her career as a tournament player competing on the US LPGA Tour before becoming a founder member of the Ladies European Tour. During her time as a player she won 5 events and competed in USA, Japan, South East Asia and Europe.

After retiring from full time competitive golf, Chris became one of the first women golfers in the UK to be appointed as a club professional and Director of Golf at Clevedon Golf Club and Castle Combe.

She has established a reputation as a leading coach and has helped many elite and club players to realize their potential. She was National Coach to the Welsh Ladies Golf Union for 7 years and has been coach to many county golf teams and the ladies RAF team. Chris was made an Advanced Fellow of the PGA in recognition of her status in the world of golf.

In addition to running her own golf school and travel business Chris is Director of the Golf Academy at Desert Springs Resort & Golf Club and is responsible for the unique Golf 4 Women series of events run at the club.

Christine Langford Invitational Pro Am Partnered by Desert Springs’ members, Wikki de Graaf, Suan Kenny and Helen Lavis Chris won her own Pro Am event. The team made a great comeback on day 2, starting out in last place. The team captained by Sarah Clardige and including Annette Raymond, Sara Taylor and Sally Watkins won the first round Texas Scramble and finished in the overall runners-up position.
